OFFICIALS FROM THE OPERATIONS DIVISION OF THE METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT VISITED THE EXCHANGE

2026-05-21 12:03:16

In recent years, public servants have shown increasing interest in enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the capital market, taking step-by-step actions toward becoming investors, and enriching their knowledge through learning.

Today, 20 officers from the Operations Division of the Metropolitan Police Department under the General Police Agency visited the Mongolian Stock Exchange. During the visit, they received information on the history and development of the Exchange, the current condition of the securities market, and key considerations for participating in trading and becoming an investor.

Mr. P. Nyamdorj, Senior Specialist of the Marketing and Public Relations Department of the Exchange, provided the briefing to the officers.

During the visit, a brief interview was conducted with Captain J. Damdinsuren, Senior Specialist of the Operations Division of the Metropolitan Police Department.

He stated:
“In 2006, when I was a university student, former Director of the Mongolian Stock Exchange, R. Sodkhuu, visited our school and provided us with basic knowledge and information about the capital market. Following that training, I opened a securities trading account at a brokerage firm and have since been participating in trading and making investments to a certain extent.

At that time, digital access was limited, and it was not as easy to obtain information quickly and openly as it is today. Therefore, my initial approach to the capital market was based on very basic understanding.

Looking back after 20 years, I felt that my knowledge was insufficient. This motivated me to further improve my understanding and not only develop myself but also share this knowledge with my colleagues. The goal of today’s event is to raise awareness that the opportunity to become an investor is open to everyone.

In recent years, the capital market has reached a new stage of development, and the number of products traded on the Exchange has increased. It is important for young people to invest with proper understanding and systematic knowledge in order to become ‘smart’ investors and effectively manage their investments.”
