During today’s Mining Products Trading Session (September 10, 2026), the Mongolian Stock Exchange conducted an auction for molybdenum concentrate with a molybdenum content of not less than 44%, offered by “Erdenet Mining Corporation” SOE. A total of 520 WMT (wet metric tonnes), equivalent to 468 DMT (dry metric tonnes), was offered at a starting price of USD 28,317.9 per tonne.

As a result of competitive orders submitted by trading participants, the price of the molybdenum concentrate increased by USD 5,450 per tonne, reaching a transaction price of USD 33,767.9 per tonne. The product was successfully traded for a total value of USD 15,803,377.2.

The Mongolian Stock Exchange has been focusing on expanding the range of products traded through the exchange. In 2026, the MSE newly developed and approved the “Regulation on Standardization and Implementation of Molybdenum Concentrate Trading Contracts” and introduced amendments to the “Mining Products Exchange Trading Regulations.” These initiatives are now beginning to demonstrate tangible results.
